Episode 100: If you believe
(AN: ONE HUNDRED PARTS AND COUNTING!!!! Okay I thought I would never ever be able to write this story to this point! :D Thank you for following this thing at all and I promise, it's only gonna get better from here! I'm just all emotional right now. :')
"Wow you're really good," Olivia Somerlyn said.
"Th-thanks," Katie mumbled softly, slightly star-struck. "Y-you're pretty good yourself."
"Aw thanks!" Olivia giggled, skipping out of the booth. Katie sighed, looking at her phone when it began to ring.
"Hello?"
"Guess who?" Kendall said happily.
"Oh my god KENDALL!" Katie squealed. "How long do we have this time?!"
"Um, not long, I'm in therapy, but I have something to ask you," He said. "Would you wanna come visit me?"
"YES!" Katie squealed. "Yes yes a thousand times over yes absolutely yes!!!"
"Okay calm down. I'll have mom call you then and you two can figure it out, I love you," Kendall said happily.
"I love you too sweetie," Katie said happily before the line went dead.
"Katie can we talk to you in the office for a minute?" Kelly said.
"Am I in trouble?" Katie asked.
"No, just need to have a chat," She said sweetly. Katie nodded and followed her, Gustavo waiting behind his desk with a smile on his face.
"Okay what's going on?" Katie finally asked.
"It has come to my attention that you are far more of an asset to this studio than even Kelly has been at times," Gustavo said. "You function as an I.T. person, a secretary, an intern, and now as a part of the actual music process."
"And if we don't snatch up this opportunity, someone else will," Kelly added.
"How would you like to be a singer?" Gustavo said.
"M-me? This girl?" Katie asked, not believing her ears. "You want someone like me to be a superstar?"
"Sweetie we just want to make a demo and see what the record company thinks," Kelly explained. "Griffin wants to explore more new talent and he heard the duet tracks you did with BTR."
"I-I can't write music though," Katie said softly.
"That's what Gustavo does," Kelly said. "We'd take care of everything, you wouldn't even have to leave the crib. what do you say?"
"C-can I have some time to think about it?" Katie asked. Kelly and Gustavo nodded.
"Just swing by or call when you have an answer," Kelly said sweetly, showing Katie out. Katie thought as she drove home about Gustavo's offer, but decided to talk to Camille about it. Although she wasn't quite prepared for what she saw when she went inside; James was on the couch, sobbing.
"James? What happened?" Katie asked.
