Big Time Boyfriend Part 118

Okay, so once upon a time I was fourteen, Had a hopeless, stupid, doomed-from-the-start crush on an eighteen-year-old, and I had this weird fantasy that he would like, save me from dehydration or something? Idk, but this update is roughly based on it. WARNINGS: Dehydration, a little bit of hurt/comfort, if you could even call it that. Seriously, this was mostly for my own enjoyment, but I think it turned out okay. If you have any issues with it, just don't read/lemme know I guess. Otherwise enjoy! :)

Episode 118: Drip drop.

"CARLOS!" James shouted, a firm grip on Katie. Carlos looked up and his eyes widened.

"Katie what's wrong?" He asked.

"What do you think is wrong?!" Logan shouted sarcastically.

"I'm.. So.. hot," Katie choked out. James leaned the sweaty girl onto his best friend.

"I saw a cafe down the hill that was shaded," James explained.

"She needs water," Logan added. Carlos checked the backpack, but her water bottle hadn't been filled.

"You think you can walk?" Carlos asked.

"No," Katie said, getting sleepy.

Carlos picked her up. "Come on, let's go get you feeling better," Carlos said, carrying her bridal style down the hill. He found the place James was talking about and set the girl down at a table. "Wait here okay?"

"Okay," Katie said, not really intending on going anywhere else, except maybe to sleep. Carlos left and came back with a gigantic cup of water in his hand.

"Drink," he ordered gently. Katie slowly sipped at it, her cheeks becoming a little less red by the time she was half-way through.

"I'm sorry," Katie said finally.

"For what?" Carlos asked, thoroughly confused. "You didn't do anything. Logan walks freakishly fast is all."

"Yeah," Katie said, sipping at the drink again. Carlos made her look at him.

"ANYONE could have gotten dehydrated," He clarified. "It HAPPENS. I'm just glad you're okay."

"I'm supposed to drink a lot generally but even more on hot days," Katie admitted sheepishly. Carlos nodded, taking the cup to refill it when Katie emptied it. "You feel ready to go back to the others?"

"Not really," Katie said, though more from embarrassment than weakness. Carlos shrugged, happy to do whatever kept Katie happy. Even a sweaty disheveled mess, he still couldn't keep his eyes off of her. He knew how wrong this crush was, yet he couldn't help but fall. "Why are you looking at me?" Katie finally asked.

"Just trying to make sure you're okay," Carlos shrugged, blushing a little himself. Katie sighed, draining her cup a second time. Carlos filled it again and brought it back.

"Alright, let's go see where the other two ran off to," Katie said, finally standing up. She stretched a little, before Carlos placed his hands on her shoulders.

"Promise me something?" He asked. Katie slowly nodded. "Promise me you will tell me if you need anything. And I mean ANYTHING. Whether it's as simple as more water, or as extravagant as winning you the fluffiest unicorn at some booth. I need my buddy around, okay?" Katie smiled and nodded, and Carlos slung his arm around her. "Good. Now let's go find something for all of us to do together." Katie smiled at that thought.

BACK BY THE THRILL RIDE:

"There!" Logan shouted, spotting Katie and Carlos walking back up to them. Logan and James ran down and swallowed the small girl up inside a group hug.

"Okay I do need oxygen ya know," She joked. The two boys let her go.

"Sorry," James said. "Just, ya know, worried." Katie smiled, happy to be worried about. "Where to now Carlitos?"

"Well... According to the map..." Katie looked at the thing In Carlos' hands and realized he had no idea whatsoever as to what he was doing.

"Why don't I have a look?" Katie suggested. Carlos handed the map and explained where he wanted to go. Katie examined the intricate maze of paths and figured out the best way to go. "Alright, you hold on to this, and follow me," she instructed. Carlos followed close at her side, James and Logan at the back. After a short walk they all arrived at their intended destination; The Lolly-Pop.
