Episode 120: SPLISH SPLASH WE WUZ TAKING A BATH!!
Logan wandered back over to the table while Katie ran to the bathroom real quick.
"So are you convinced on staying with us?" James asked with a mouthful of pizza.
"Yeah," Logan said, playing with his food rather than eating it. Katie returned then, quietly slipping back into her chair, downing the pizza in front of her.
"Where to next?" Logan asked once everyone was done.
"We are gonna show you how to relax and have fun," Katie said, a simple yet effective plan forming in her head. "Carlos can I see the map?"
"Chyeah!" He cheered, handing the crinkly piece of paper over. Katie examined it carefully before folding it back up and leading the boys to their next destination.
"So where ARE we headed?" James asked Katie, seeing her examining the map again.
"Shh," She said, She then led them off to the right, stopping in front of huge water coaster. Logan's jaw dropped and he dragged James along with him to get on.
"You wanna join in?" Carlos asked Katie.
"Nah, if my hair gets wet what little control on it I have will go to hell," She mumbled. Carlos laughed.
"Aw come on, I like your hair all frizzy," he chuckled.
"Shut up," Katie said, taking his hand.
"No I'm serious, I like when you just brush it in the morning before you do anything to it," Carlos said, looking Katie in the eyes. She blushed.
"Thanks," she said. James and Logan were still waiting to get on the ride, so Katie and Carlos decided to look around.
"So how are you doing without Kendall?" Carlos asked. Katie squeezed his hand.
"It's not so bad when you're around," She confessed. "I just miss him so much though! It's hard, because... Because I love him." Carlos' heart broke for the little girl. "I miss him singing me to sleep, I miss his smell around me, I miss his laugh his smile..." Katie was full-on crying at this point.
"Shh, shh," Carlos said, hugging her. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you upset."
"Y-you didn't," Katie whimpered. "I just miss him. And I've tried not to let it show."
"Well don't do that. You gotta let it all out at some point or you might explode," Carlos said, meaning it both figuratively and literally. Katie smiled just a little.
"Thank you," She said, hugging her friend. She heard a huge splash behind her and she looked to see James and Logan dripping and cheering. She smiled to herself, knowing this would keep Logan happy for a while.
"Okay thanks for that," Logan said, wrapping Katie into a cold wet hug.
"Any time," She said, trying to push him off.
"Where to now?" James asked. Carlos handed Katie the map.
"Closest adrenaline rush please," Carlos said. Katie looked at the piece of paper before folding it back up and once again leading the way. Carlos took the usual position of his arm around her shoulder, giggling about cupcakes and hockey.
"They're so adorable," Logan said. "Just wish she could actually date him."
"I dunno, I kinda like that they're best friends," James shrugged. "Besides, she needs someone to protect her right now. We've got too much drama and the level-headed one needs someone to lean on. I mean she's always there for all of us, she needs someone too. I can only imagine how hard it is for her without Kendall..."
"Yeah, I'd go crazy without Camille, she's my world," Logan said. James sighed.
"I need a girlfriend," James muttered.
"You have one!" Katie called back.
"Oh yeah," James said with a smile.
"Are we almost there?" Logan whined. Katie stopped.
"Yup."
